The Américo Amorim Group is the major shareholder of Amorim Energia, which in turn owns 33.34% of Galp Energia, SGPS, S.A..
This is a strategic participation given the relevance of Galp Energia to the Portuguese economy, particularly to the Portuguese Energy Sector.
E&P plays an important and increasing role in Galp Energia's business portfolio as well as its future development strategy, with investments distributed worldwide, mainly Brazil, Mozambique and Angola.
Galp Energia is the only refinery in Portugal and leads the market with the distribution of oil and gas. It also has a strong distribution presence in Spain and the African Continent.
